I saw 127 Hours last night.
At first glance the movie just seems like a movie about the true story of Aron Ralston but it is more than that. The film touches base with a wide variety of topics and themes thus making this more than just a movie about courage and bravery. Through the whole experience Aron Ralston, who is played by James Franco, relives moments in the past that were positive, negative, and close to his heart. Upon these flashbacks he realizes the faults and downfalls that lead him to his predicament and the audience could tell the emotional pain he felt during his five day ordeal. The film does an excellent job of showing self-revelation, courage, and bravery, but also makes the audience ponder upon the moments and choices that we, as individuals, have made that shaped and molded us to who we are today.
127 Hours has got to be one of the best movies I have ever seen. James Franco does a tremendous job through out the whole film. Just a little side note, my favorite part in the movie is when he finally takes off his shoe and feels the sand between his toes. I know that may sound weird but as soon as he can feel the sand touch his skin he realizes that he is free from his terrible ordeal. I would give this movie 5 out of 5 stars.
